Adding aircraft (with External Operator)

Follow along with these steps to make adding new aircraft quick and easy

Aircraft List

The Aircraft List page is the page to edit and add Aircraft. step in building up the information needed to create a new aircraft.

This Demonstration shows adding an Aircraft with an External Operator, but External Operators is an optional step.

Steps:

  1. From the Aircraft list menu, click Add New Aircraft

Aircraft Type

  1. Enter the aircraft tail number or any name you will recognize into the Registration field.

  2. Type the aircraft type or the aircraft ICAO code and pick the aircraft from the list. After clicking the aircraft type, information will be auto-filled ready for the next steps.

Operational Info

  1. (optional) Choose the External Operator or type the name of a new External Operator and click add new.

  2. Enter the maximum number of passengers you usually carry - this will be used to generate warnings only.

  3. Enter the homebase of the aircraft for ferry calculations. If you leave the homebase blank, aeroquote wil not calculate automatic ferry flights. You may use the name of the airport, name of town, IATA or the ICAO code to search. Start typing and a list will show. Click on the homebase to save it.

  4. Enter the MTOW. If you clicked on the aircraft in the list in step 1, this will already be filled for you.

  5. Edit a description for your aircraft. If you clicked on the aircraft in the list in step 1, the AeroQuote AI writer will have written one for you.

  6. You can get the AeroQuote AI to rewrite the description for you by clicking Regenerate Description.

  7. Add a minimum runway distance for both takeoff and landing (whichever is the larger). Or use zero for helicopters. May be auto-filled from step 1.

  8. Add a typical maximum range for this aircraft. AeroQuote will use this to warn you and help find a technical stop for fuel uplifts. May be auto-filled from step 1.

  9. Click Next

Performance

  1. You may adjust performance characteristics of you aircraft in this step of later when editing your aircraft.

Costing

  1. Enter a charter margin above costs. This margin is used when estimating quote prices for your customers and will be applied to the total cost of a mission. You may elect to set a charter and ferry rate per hour rather than a margin.

  2. To add a cost estimate, add one or more cost items by clicking Add New in the Aircraft costs section.

  3. In the new costs window, add a title you will recognize. Select which flight types you want this cost to apply to. Add the Cost. You may select any currency and AeroQuote will convert it to your business currency when the cost calculation is generated. Select the unit the cost will apply to (Overnight, Per Day, Per hour, per sector (landing), or per distance (NM, mile, km), per passenger. Click Save

Images

  1. From the file window, select your first image. Once uploaded, confirm it by clicking Save.

  2. Continue adding ip to three images, AeroQuote recommends three images for a good online customer experience.

  3. You should add a mix of external in internal images.

  4. (optional) Click Change Banner to add a default banner. A default Option banner image is used to display an appealing image to your online customers with view quote with this aircraft. You can add this image to your library of banner images. If you want to save this to your library, tick the Add to library check, and provide an appropriate name for the image. Click Save.

Now you have successfully added an aircraft.

You can view and edit your aircraft at any time by clicking on the corresponding row on the Aircraft page.
